Sarah Delicate- Learning Plan versus Action Plan?

The art of effective action planning appears to be slipping, sacrificed at the Temple of Accountability through mandated tickie-boxes and drop-down menus. It is unlikely that any of your learners have taken home their printed CaMS ‘Learning Plan’ and pinned it to their fridge. While these plans capture the transactional nature of the learning, they alone do very little to provide a renewed focus for one’s life. These plans do not likely inspire, nor do they become a source of hopefulness and motivation.

Since sustained motivation and engagement are critical within Literacy and Basic Skills, we invite you to join your peers in an evidence-informed conversation about the power of Action Planning with learners, led by Sarah Delicate of BBMD Consulting. Please note you will NOT leave this session with a magical action planning template, because such a thing does not exist. But you will understand the components of such a plan, how to create such a plan, and why the research says it is important.
